We are Só Dança and we live intensely a great passion for dance! We are proud to be a Brazilian brand with decades of experience, being present as a recognized brand of dance articles in more than 60 countries! Our four factories in Brazil and the Dominican Republic and our team of more than 1500 workers, technicians and artisans are committed to developing, producing, maintaining rigorous quality standards and commercializing what is most innovative and authentic in dance articles. Our three distributors in the United States, Canada and Europe, in addition to our network of partners around the world, ensure that Só Dança products reach those passionate about the art of dance in every part of the world.
The Beginning
As part of the history of dance, Só Dança began its activities in 1978, in São Paulo, Brazil, under the direction of executive Ival Teixeira de Araujo, who perceived the need for the dance market to evolve to meet dancers' expectations for new and comfortable products. The Teixeira Araujo family's dream began to come true in the mid-1980s with the opening of two stores. However, to meet its own demand and the market's quality requirements, Só Dança opened its own factory in 1986 and began manufacturing ballet apparel. Three years later, the factory was transferred to Osvaldo Cruz, bringing artisans and technicians to also start producing ballet shoes and dance footwear. In 2008, the company opened its first factory in the Dominican Republic to produce dance apparel and footwear to supply its growing customer base.
